I'm facing a benefits termination I'm appealing, with a hearing on May. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer. I'm looking for a qualified disability-rights advocate licensed in Queensland who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee. I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Brisbane or meet online. I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Sending strength, William. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Brisbane.

    • You're not alone, William. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 15 years in teaching I know how hard it is to ask for anything.

      • Take care, William. Looking forward to the next update!

        • Wishing you peace, William. It takes guts to ask. Well done.

          • Hope it all works out. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Greetings from Kathmandu.

            • Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Johannesburg.
