Pro bono disability-rights advocate needed for Asma's case in Cairo

Asma is facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid and can't afford a lawyer; a disability-rights advocate willing to review the case for free could make the difference.

I'm facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid, with a hearing on November. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer. I'm looking for a qualified disability-rights advocate licensed in Cairo who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee. I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Cairo or meet online. I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Entebbe so I could bring a meal.
