Priyanka is isolated after a stroke: a call a week would help
Priyanka is housebound after a stroke and is looking for a friendly, patient person for a weekly call.

After a stroke, I have been mostly housebound for 10 weeks. My family live far away, and the days can feel very long. I'm not looking for therapy - I've that covered - but for conversation.
I'm hoping for someone who can call for about 30 minutes once a week whenever suits us both. I like music, books and gardening, and can listen to anything.
This can be from anywhere in the world as long as you speak English. We can arrange the calls through the platform, with email shared only when we're both comfortable.
Thanks for even thinking about it.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 6 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Thanks for sharing this, Priyanka. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
Hope things get better soon, Priyanka. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Zapopan!
Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Kota this morning. Love from Kota.
This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Jalandhar
best of luck, Priyanka. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Toulon.
wishing you peace, Priyanka. Your post was clear and honest. I'll check back for the next update. All the best
