In August an inspector told me that my home has a failed boiler with no heating. It's a safety risk for me and my newborn. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $120 are beyond us. I'm looking for a licensed plumber who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $15. The job should take about eight hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request. If you're a plumber and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Stay strong. Shared it with a few friends. Love from Medina.

    • Hope it all works out, Tigist. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Please keep us posted. All the best.

      • Good luck, Tigist. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps.

Hang in there. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Jimma.
