Plant 4,450 native trees around the Liberty hillside in Kinondoni
Help us clean and replant the Liberty hillside before the October planting window closes.

The Liberty hillside has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 45 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 96 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the district council, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $200 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $110
• Tools and protective gear: $50
• Waste removal and skip hire: $40
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope things get better soon, Athumani. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Blessings.
Thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to New Delhi so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Kinondoni
You're not alone, Athumani. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
