Plant 1,600 native trees around Cedar Creek in Mapo
Help us clean and replant Cedar Creek before the September planting window closes.
🇰🇷 Mapo, Seoul, South Korea2,299 views
Cedar Creek has been used as an informal dump for years. This May, 119 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 167 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $1,150
• Tools and protective gear: $270
• Waste removal and skip hire: $560
• Signage and educational materials: $170
Glad we found this place.

You're not alone, Jun-seo. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope September is when things finally get easier. All the best.
Rooting for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Feira de Santana.
Thinking of you, Jun-seo. Shared this with my family. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
Stay strong. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to London so I could bring a meal. Blessings
