Plant 1,450 native trees around the Sycamore wetland in Pasig
Help us clean and replant the Sycamore wetland before the September planting window closes.
🇵🇭 Metro Manila, Philippines1,033 views
The Sycamore wetland has been used as an informal dump for years. This July, 31 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 101 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $300 goes:
• Tools and protective gear: $60
• Native saplings and stakes: $210
• Signage and educational materials: $30
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thinking of you, Jayson. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 5 people at work.
Wishing you peace. Hope this works out for you. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Muzaffarpur
