Pioneer Park needs a solar-powered water pump - Francisco's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $750. It will serve about 544 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $750 goes: • Permits and inspections: $45 • Materials: $560 • Tools hire and delivery: $145 Thanks for reading all this.
