Pioneer Park needs a rainwater harvesting system - Popy's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Dhaka are raising $150 for a rainwater harvesting system at Pioneer Park.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $100, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 355 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $150 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $20
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thanks for sharing this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Popy
Wishing you peace, Popy. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Dhaka.
