Payal needs my tuk-tuk repaired to get back to work in Howrah

Without my tuk-tuk Payal can't work; a $300 repair would put her back on the road.

Howrah
I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 3 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $300 goes: • clutch assembly replacement (parts): $195 • Labor charges: $50 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $45 • Towing and inspection: $10 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Updates from Payal

  1. Quick update: $65 raised so far (22%). I made the first payment toward road tax and insurance renewal. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. 15% there. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Thank you. - Payal
