Pass on a laptop: it could change Satomi's year
Satomi is studying accounting on a phone; a used laptop would let Satomi do assignments properly.

I'm Satomi, an accounting student in Tokyo. My laptop broke 8 months ago and I've since been writing assignments and sitting online exams on my phone - it's slow, my work gets lost, and I'm falling behind.
I'm looking for a used laptop with at least 8GB of RAM and a working battery, or any laptop that can run a browser and word processor reliably. I can cover shipping if you can send it, or collect in Tokyo.
I'll take great care of it and be sure to share how my studies go. If you want to upgrade your own and have an old one in a drawer, you could make a big difference.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

You're not alone, Satomi. Your post was clear and honest. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
