Parvin was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at Nashik Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Parvin is 58, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Nashik Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
