Parvathi is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at Nashik Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $800.
The registrar has said Parvathi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Parvathi has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Parvathi would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Parvathi isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Nashik Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
