Parvathi's final semester of a computer science degree in Kolkata
A first-generation student, Parvathi needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a computer science degree.

Parvathi is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at the Kolkata Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $900.
The registrar has said Parvathi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Parvathi has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Parvathi would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Parvathi isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $900 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $310
• Final term tuition: $510
• Exam and lab fees: $15
• Textbooks and materials: $65
Thanks for being kind about this.
