Palate reconstruction surgery for Radhika: covering what insurance won't
After a torn ligament that needs reconstruction, Radhika was cleared for palate reconstruction surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Radhika was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in July. The surgeon at Nashik Community Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,400, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,100 short.
my sister has been in and out of Nashik Community Hospital since July. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Radhika struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Radhika won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $70
• Physiotherapy sessions: $75
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $280
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $675
