Leyla was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in November. The surgeon at Kadıköy Orthopedic Institute recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,850, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,300 short.

While we wait, Leyla struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
