Óscar is isolated after a major depressive episode: a call a week would help

No advice needed - just a kind ear and some conversation for 30 minutes a week.

After a major depressive episode, I have been mostly housebound for 5 weeks. My family live far away, and the days can feel very long. I'm not looking for therapy - I've that covered - but for conversation. I'm hoping for someone who can call for about 30 minutes once a week whenever suits us both. I like history, chess and quiz shows, and can listen to anything. This can be from anywhere in the world as long as you speak English. We can arrange the calls through the platform, with email shared only when we're both comfortable. Thanks for even thinking about it. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Sending love, Óscar. Get well soon. I hope October is when things finally get easier.

    • Hope it all works out, Óscar. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Bucaramanga.

      • Hang in there, Óscar. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. After 27 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Bucaramanga!
