Wendy is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at Belfast Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,350.
The registrar has said Wendy can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Wendy has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Wendy would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Wendy isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Belfast Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Exam and lab fees: $240
