I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in social work at Essen University, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $4,550.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Essen University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $4,550 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,050
• Final term tuition: $2,000
• Exam and lab fees: $260
• Textbooks and materials: $240
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope things get better soon. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Lahore donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Lahore.
Stay strong, Rima. Shared this with my family. Wish I lived closer to Toulouse so I could bring a meal. Take care.
stay strong. Shared this with my family. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.
Best of luck. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Sending good thoughts, Rima. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
