Rajesh is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at the Saket Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has said Rajesh can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rajesh has a 3.8 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rajesh would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Rajesh isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
