I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at the Accra Institute of Technology, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $400
• Final term tuition: $165
• Exam and lab fees: $55
• Textbooks and materials: $30
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you, Prince. Hope you get there. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
Study hard! We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Quezon City.
shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Heliopolis this morning. God bless.
Hope it all works out, Prince. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. My neighbor in Bakersfield donated after I showed her your page.
Keep going, Prince. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
