One semester away: help Okello graduate from Kakamega State College
Okello has worked and saved for four years to study an accounting degree; a $300 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Okello is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at Kakamega State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $300.
The registrar has said Okello can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Okello has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Okello would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Okello isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $300 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $50
• Textbooks and materials: $40
• Final term tuition: $210
Thanks for being kind about this.

Wishing you the best, John. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Tiruchirappalli donated after I showed her your page. Blessings
