Malsha is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Jaffna University, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,100. The registrar has said Malsha can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Malsha has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Malsha would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Malsha isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Jaffna University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,100 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $490 • Final term tuition: $500 • Exam and lab fees: $40 • Textbooks and materials: $70 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
