Imam is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Surabaya State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $350.
The registrar has said Imam can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Imam has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Imam would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Imam isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Surabaya State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $350 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $35
• Final term tuition: $270
• Exam and lab fees: $45

as a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Thessaloniki.
Hope it all works out, Reza. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Sent it to 39 people at work. Blessings.
sending strength, Reza. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
