Hassan is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Alexandria State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has said Hassan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Hassan has a 3.6 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Hassan would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Hassan isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $150
• Final term tuition: $450
• Exam and lab fees: $50
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Wishing you the best. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Rooting for you. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
Take care, Hussein. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care
Take care, Hussein. Shared this with my family. All the best
