Haris is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at the Sukkur Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has said Haris can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Haris has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Haris would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Haris isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Sukkur Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $650 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $35
• Outstanding tuition balance: $290
• Final term tuition: $325
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
