Gustav is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a master's in public health at Gothenburg University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,850.
The registrar has said Gustav can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Gustav has a 3.8 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Gustav would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Gustav isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $3,850 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,850
• Final term tuition: $1,600
• Exam and lab fees: $320
• Textbooks and materials: $80
With deep gratitude,
Nils
