Genesis is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at the London Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,700.
The registrar has said Genesis can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Genesis has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Genesis would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Genesis isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the London Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $290
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,150
• Exam and lab fees: $260
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
