Flávio is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at Juiz de Fora Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $950.
The registrar has said Flávio can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Flávio has a 3.8 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Flávio would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Flávio isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $950 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $430
• Final term tuition: $380
• Exam and lab fees: $65
• Textbooks and materials: $75
With deep gratitude,
Marcelo

Stay strong, Marcelo. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Jalandhar so I could bring a meal
