Ayesha is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at New Delhi University, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $600. The registrar has said Ayesha can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ayesha has a top-ten-percent average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ayesha would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Ayesha isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $600 goes: • Final term tuition: $390 • Textbooks and materials: $35 • Outstanding tuition balance: $175 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • keep going. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. After 14 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

    • Hope things get better soon. Hope this works out for you. I have a 5 year old who wants to send good wishes too

        • reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Red Deer so I could bring a meal. Thinking of New Delhi.

          • Good luck with the exams, you've got this. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Anaheim
