I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at the London Institute of Technology, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a delivery rider to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $5,400. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $5,400 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $2,350 • Final term tuition: $2,650 • Exam and lab fees: $175 • Textbooks and materials: $225 If you're reading this, thank you.

          • is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Aaron.

            • Aaron G. GrantOwnerAnswer

Outstanding tuition balance is $2,350 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. It helps to be asked.

          • hang in there. I hope things turn around soon. Love from Southampton
