Nur needs someone who understands: peer support in recovery
A weekly call with someone who has been through it - that's the whole ask.

I'm eight weeks into recovery from gambling addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week.
I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like.
I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later.
Thanks for being kind about this.

So sorry you're going through this, Nur. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Kyoto.
rooting for you, Nur. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Kolkata donated after I showed her your page.
Wishing you peace, Nur. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
hang in there. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Kadıköy
Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Sending love. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Contagem this morning. Blessings.
