Nnamdi is applying to university - who can guide us?
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Nnamdi's essays until November.

I'm Nnamdi, 17, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study civil engineering.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

praying for you. This could happen to any of us. Sent it to 12 people at work.
thanks for sharing this. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
good luck, Nnamdi. This could happen to any of us.
This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Ikeja.

take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Nashik
Stay strong, Nnamdi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless
You're not alone, Nnamdi. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up
