Ngozika is applying to university - who can guide us?
Ngozika will be the first in the family to apply to university and needs someone who knows the process.

I'm Ngozika, 16, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study computer science.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at the local library and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.

Keep going. Shared this with my family. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings
stay strong. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Good luck, Ngozika. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
sending strength, Ngozika. Your post was clear and honest.
Sending strength, Ngozika. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Montgomery.
Praying for you, Ngozika. Your post was clear and honest. Take care.
Sending strength. I hope things turn around soon. After 10 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
sending good thoughts, Ngozika. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.

Hang in there, Ngozika. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
