Nevaeh was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in May. The surgeon at Saint Joseph Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,750, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $6,050 short.
my sister has been in and out of Saint Joseph Hospital since May. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Nevaeh struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Nevaeh won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
