Need strong backs and a van: moving Yan to safer housing
Yan has found a safe new apartment in Austin and needs help moving heavy furniture on Saturday.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Austin, and the lease starts on Saturday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the second floor and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Thank you for reading my story.

Hope it all works out. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
you're not alone, Yan. Your post was clear and honest. Take care
good luck, Yan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
