Need strong backs and a van: moving Utami to safer housing
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Bekasi.
🇮🇩 Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia793 views
After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Bekasi, and the lease starts on Sunday. I have three kids, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings
Hope it all works out, Utami. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We're a small family in Jakarta but we're thinking of you. All the best.
I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Bekasi.
