Need strong backs and a van: moving Silvia to safer housing
Silvia has found a safe new apartment in Ciudad de México and needs help moving heavy furniture on Wednesday.

After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Ciudad de México, and the lease starts on Wednesday. I have three kids, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for a few strong people for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has an elevator. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. I hope August is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Sacramento.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings

You're not alone, Silvia. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Istanbul this morning
Hang in there, Silvia. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.
Sending good thoughts. Looking forward to the next update. Don't give up.
Thinking of you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.

Best of luck, Silvia. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
