Need strong backs and a van: moving Savannah to safer housing
Savannah has found a safe new apartment in Reading and needs help moving heavy furniture on Friday.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Reading, and the lease starts on Friday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for four volunteers for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the second floor and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. All the best!
