Need strong backs and a van: moving Parker to safer housing
Moving day on Thursday: we need anyone with a van and ideally a van.
🇳🇿 Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand1,605 views
After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Christchurch, and the lease starts on Thursday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about five hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
