Need strong backs and a van: moving Magdalena to safer housing
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Glasgow.

After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Glasgow, and the lease starts on Friday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about five hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has an elevator. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

You're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Thinking of you, Magdalena. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Philadelphia.
Thinking of you, Magdalena. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Peshawar but we're thinking of you.
