Need strong backs and a van: moving Leila to safer housing
Moving day on Sunday: we need a few strong people and ideally a van.

After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Madrid, and the lease starts on Sunday. I have three kids, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for a few strong people for about five hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- five
- format
- In person in Madrid
- skills
- lifting, driving, a van or pickup

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Madrid
So sorry you're going through this, Leila. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
