Need strong backs and a van: moving Lauren to safer housing
Moving day on Thursday: we need a few strong people and ideally a van.

After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Anaheim, and the lease starts on Thursday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for a few strong people for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Shared it with a few friends. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Rome
Hope things get better soon, Lauren. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together.
Sending love, Lauren. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Chandler
Hang in there. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Take care
keep going, Lauren. Shared this with my family!
Sending good thoughts, Lauren. Hope you get there. My neighbor in Melbourne donated after I showed her your page.
Thanks for sharing this, Lauren. I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Sukkur this morning. Thinking of Anaheim
Sending good thoughts, Lauren. This could happen to any of us. Take care.
Thinking of you, Lauren. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. God bless!
