Need strong backs and a van: moving Joaquim to safer housing
Moving day on Friday: we need four volunteers and ideally a van.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in São Paulo, and the lease starts on Friday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for four volunteers for about five hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the second floor and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope it all works out, Joaquim. Your post was clear and honest. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
Sending good thoughts, Joaquim. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of São Paulo
thinking of you and your family, Joaquim. I hope things turn around soon. Please keep us posted.
Thanks for sharing this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Niterói.
Wishing you peace, Joaquim. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
Sending strength. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't give up. God bless
Good luck, Joaquim. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We're a small family in Monterrey but we're thinking of you
Sending strength. Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in Campinas this morning. Greetings from Campinas
