Need strong backs and a van: moving Graciela to safer housing
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Ciudad de México.

After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Ciudad de México, and the lease starts on Monday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the second floor and the new place has an elevator. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

sending strength, Graciela. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Ciudad de México.
rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Wish I lived closer to Kasarani so I could bring a meal.
Hope things get better soon. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Hanoi this morning
Sending love, Graciela. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless
