Need strong backs and a van: moving Chloe to safer housing
Chloe has found a safe new apartment in Bakersfield and needs help moving heavy furniture on Wednesday.

After an unsafe stairwell, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Bakersfield, and the lease starts on Wednesday. I have two children, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for a few strong people for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the second floor and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Glad we found this place.

Wishing you the best, Chloe. Your post was clear and honest. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
hope it all works out, Chloe. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Wudil so I could bring a meal. All the best.
I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Surakarta but we're thinking of you. Love from Surakarta
sending good thoughts. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Bogotá.
Hope it all works out, Chloe. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
