Need strong backs and a van: moving Brooks to safer housing
Brooks has found a safe new apartment in London and needs help moving heavy furniture on Thursday.

After my landlord sold the building, I found a safe, affordable apartment in London, and the lease starts on Thursday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has an elevator. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- three

- In person in London

Sending good thoughts, Brooks. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Rabat
gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Arlington so I could bring a meal. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Brooks. I hope things turn around soon
Hope things get better soon, Brooks. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
best of luck, Brooks. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
