Need strong backs and a van: moving Adeline to safer housing

A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Fort Worth.

After mold in the old building became a health issue for my child, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Fort Worth, and the lease starts on Monday. I have two children, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. I hope life is good to you.

The support I received was beyond what I expected. Not only did they help with the immediate need, but they also provided guidance for long-term solutions. I'm forever grateful.

  • I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings

    • Thinking of you and your family, Adeline. Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Sandton but we're thinking of you.
