Nafula needs two washing machines and a dryer to reopen a laundry service
Nafula has run a laundry service for twelve years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $450 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a laundry service in Nairobi. In October, a break-in took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $320
• Working capital for the first month: $75
• Shop repairs and licensing: $55
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
Updates from Nafula
Thank you all. We're at 15% now ($70). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts.
