My tuk-tuk: Saad's only way to earn a living

Without my tuk-tuk Saad can't work; a $150 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 3 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $150 goes: • gearbox replacement (parts): $60 • Labor charges: $45 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $25 • Towing and inspection: $20 Thank you so much.

  2. Quick update: $47 raised so far (31%). the plan for labor charges is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  3. 18% there. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Thank you.
